Which Levoit Core to pick — by room size
The table above shows the key insight: the 400S is the cheapest per m² covered at £14.54 over three years, despite being the most expensive to buy. The 200S is the most expensive per m² at £22.41 — it makes economic sense only if the room is genuinely 8 m² or under. Do not buy the 200S for a standard UK bedroom (typically 10–12 m²): it will not meet a 3 ACH target in that space.
- Up to 8 m² (box room, study): Core 200S at £69.99. The cheapest entry. No air quality sensor or auto mode — you set the speed manually.
- 8–15 m² (standard UK bedroom, small living room): Core 300S at £84.99. Adds an air quality sensor, auto mode, and Wi-Fi. The £15 premium over the 200S is worth it at this room size.
- 15–25 m² (large bedroom, open living room): Core 400S at £174.99. The jump in price is real; so is the CADR. Do not buy the 300S and run it at max speed for a 20 m² room — it will not keep up.
